Michael Vick is pushing himself, but he said it’s not just because the Eagles are hosting the Atlanta Falcons. Vick, the quarterback who sat out last Sunday with a rib cartilage tear suffered the previous week against Washington, didn’t practice yesterday, but after practice, Vick said “don’t count me out” of Sunday’s game.

OFFICIALLY, it is not official because Eagles coach Andy Reid has not ruled out Michael Vick has the starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Vick’s recent development as a quarterback can be attributed to maturity and also to finally getting the coaching he so desperately needed

After Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid made the call by naming Michael Vick his starting quarterback on Tuesday, Vick received an equally encouraging call from the owner of his former team, Arthur Blank of the Atlanta Falcons.

It only seems like yesterday that Atlanta Falcons fans waited with baited breath on their heralded but largely unknown free agent running back Michael Turner .
